romance fairy tale movies
Looking for a good movie / book?
I want something that is like a novel, a sort of fairy tale thing. I do not want animation (as Cinderella or something) but I want something with a heroic prince rescue a princess or something to that effect. I want something very romantic with a male hero to save his lady. Maybe a movie or book, either one is good. (Preferably, historically defined, just because it's good time as it happens.) I do not really see a good example for other things like Sleeping Beauty or something. I do not want any thing with Wussy boy: P Pride and Prejudice is very romantic, it does not really heroic thing happens. I do like it, it's just not what I'm looking for. Is "Robin Hood" romantic, right?
The Princess Bride is awesome. You can not go wrong with the original "Robin Hood" (yep it's romantic chemistry between Robin and Marion is great) You can not beat the scene ends with the king to reveal his identity. Errol Flynn is classic.
