American Girl dating a guy German?
I am an American girl, born and raised in an old "school" of the family (even so I'm pretty open-minded and liberal) ... I just started seeing a guy for 30 years in Germany. When we're together, we're very related, as if we read each other's minds and finish their thoughts ... and real "Grand Galop," as we are still in high school! However, I am very confused about dating German standards. I'm use to waiting for the guy to call me, the guy asked me to go out with ... make the first not ... moderating how I suppose to let him know that I am with him (as if holding back is a virtue ).... etc., etc., I am really confused about what expected of me (on the basis of culture) ... and respect "thing that he talks? .. I am very worried that I could lose everything by being too American spirit when it comes to dating "game." Can anyone explain the differences between the relations in the United States and Germany ... or tell me something about dating in Germany in general? I love this man!
I would say that Germany is not as conservative So he probably did not expect to wait for him to call. As far as I know, dating is not really formalized, it evolves Instead of friendship, so you should not watch dating standards. For example, in two thirds of my last relationship was the daughter who has taken the first step (I am German), and they all evolved from being friends first, we never dated a formally. I do not know what he meant by "compliance" without knowing the context.You should probably ask in a casual way.Try to turn a conversation about what he expected of a future relationship (occasionally, just as you talk), which should give you a hint: if he wants you to be his girlfriend to come, it will respond by describing his gf future as you are.
